HOUSTON (AP) - Rookie Yordano Ventura threw seven solid innings for first major league win to lift the Kansas City Royals to a 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night. Omar Infante homered and drove in two runs for the Royals.

HOUSTON (AP) - Prized prospect George Springer says he'll join the Houston Astros from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. The outfielder had 37 homers and 108 RBIs with 45 stolen bases combined in Double-A and Triple-A last year.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Shaun Phillips has seen a lot of change in his 10 years in the NFL. The linebacker believes Tennessee's switch to a hybrid 3-4 defensive scheme helps the Titans keep up with the rest of the league. Phillips said Tuesday only four or five teams played a 3-4 scheme when he came into the NFL.

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - A California man submitted the winning bid of $11,700 in an eBay auction to win the chance to coach one of the teams in Arkansas State's spring football game. Nick Bhardwaj will give the pregame and halftime talks to his team and will be allowed to determine whether to punt on fourth downs or go for the first down. He'll also be allowed to make play-calling decisions.
