Siblings Prepare for Mississippi State Games

HATTIESBURG- A pair of Hattiesburg siblings who were named the 2012 State Games of Mississippi Athletes of the Year are preparing to do it all over again.

Six-year-old Dallas Stricker and his 16-year-old sister, Christie do everything from running, cycling, and power lifting. The State Games of Mississippi is a sports fest  that amateurs participate in yearly

"It was really exciting that I got to do it with my brother Dallas,"said Christie Stricker. "I like the competition."

One of Dallas and Christie's favorite things to do is power lifting.

The adrenaline runs when I'm about to lift and it gets me really pumped up ant it's exciting," said Christie.

"He benches around 30, he dead lifts around 65 to 70," said John Stricker, their father.

Dallas says there's one thing he loves about the competition the most.

"Winning," he said.

"Every since we started doing it we haven't stopped," said John.

The fest is set to kick-off on June 14.
