Hattiesburg Public School District Survey For Title 1 Funds

Posted: Updated:
HATTIESBURG, MS -

The Hattiesburg Public School District is surveying its parents and students to find out what kinds of programs and activities it should offer to its parents.

Vicki Kibodeaux, the district's federal programs director, says the responses to the survey will help the district determine how to spend some of its Title 1 funds.

Title 1 funds are federal dollars that can be used to improve curriculum, instructional activities, counseling and parental involvement.

Kibodeaux said about 15 parents compiled the 31-question parent survey - using some questions the district had used on past surveys as well as some new questions.

The district will be collecting surveys until April 5.
