Law enforcement officers in Lucedale arrested 17 drug suspects Thursday morning. The arrests were a result of an 18-month joint investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, George County Sheriff Department and Lucedale Police Department. The Mississippi Highway Patrol and FBI safe streets task force assisted in Thursday's raids. And, MBN Director Marshall Fisher says more arrests are expected.
Those arrested face felony charges for allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine, obtaining prescription drugs by fraud, and selling crack and powdered cocaine, ecstasy and spice.
All suspects are held in George County Regional Jail to await initial court appearances.
