Former Jones County Junior College standout Ryan Robinson has signed as a free agent with the Oakland Raiders.

Robinson, a Buford, Ga., native, was a defensive end with the Bobcats in 2009-10. He has played at Oklahoma State the past two seasons.

As a sophomore, Robinson was named the MACJC South Division's Most Valuable Defensive Lineman in a vote by the league's coaches. Robinson, who played at Mill Creek High School, was a first-team All-MACJC South Division and All-Region 23 performer for the Bobcats.

Robinson helped the Cowboys to a 20-6 record the past two years.

He started all 13 games for Oklahoma State this past year as the Cowboys went 8-5. He had 25 solo tackles, seven assists, eight tackles for loss, two and ½ sacks, six pass break ups and four quarterback hurries. During his junior year, Robinson had 17 solo tackles, four assists, three tackles for loss, one sack, one pass break up and one quarterback hurry as the Cowboys went 12-1 and won the Big 12 Conference championship.

Robinson is listed as a 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect.
