Southern Miss Baseball Game Versus ULM Rained Out

Posted: Updated:

The Southern Miss non-conference baseball game with ULM scheduled for Tuesday evening at Pete Taylor Park has been cancelled due to rain.

Rains began to fall in the Hattiesburg area around 3 p.m., and continued until the game was called at 7:03 p.m., an hour and three minutes after its scheduled starting time. The tarp remained on the field all afternoon and into the evening and the game was never started.

There will be no makeup date for this contest. This is the second game lost for Southern Miss this season due to rain, with the other being the LSU contest in Metairie, La., which was scheduled for April 3.

Southern Miss (24-19 overall, 13-5 C-USA) returns to action this weekend when they travel to Greenville, N.C., to face Conference USA foe East Carolina. Game times (all central) are 5 p.m., for Friday, 1 p.m., on Saturday and 10 a.m., on Sunday.
