Southern Miss Baseball Seeking to Set Attendance Mark for Ole Miss Game

Posted: Updated:

The last time Southern Miss and Ole Miss met at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field on March 30, 2011, a school-record crowd of 5,689 were in attendance.

The two teams are slated to meet again here, Tuesday, May 14, at 6 p.m., and the school is looking to break that previous best attendance mark.

The first 500 fans to the game will receive a free rally towel courtesy of Elite Screen Printing (200 N. 40th Ave.,  Suite 70, Hattiesburg, MS 39401/601-450-1261).

In addition, a hash tag has been created for this game - #6KatThePete – and fans who tweet this hash tag will have chances to win prizes, including a throwback USM baseball jersey, a Golden Eagle prize fan pack, Southern Miss t-shirts, Southern Miss lanyards, Southern Miss spirit bands and Southern Miss sunglasses.

Tickets can be purchased by going online at SouthernMissTickets.com, by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or by visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
