Fifth-seeded William Carey wasted little time looking for the upset win and first trip to the national championship as they started dominating doubles action. The Lady Crusaders pulled away early in each of the doubles matchups. William Carey won in No. 2 doubles, 8-2, but had to hold off comebacks from Xavier's No.1 and 3 doubles teams. The comeback for the Gold Nuggets came up short as William Carey took both matches, 8-6, in No. 1 doubles, and, 8-5, in No. 3 doubles. After doubles the Lady Crusaders held a 3-0 lead.
Xavier would not give up and continued to battle tough in singles action. However, the Gold Nuggets could not muster a point before William Carey clinched the match. Malin Collin gave the Lady Crusaders a 4-0 lead after winning in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-1. No. 1 singles player Carola Orna clinched the match for William Carey by defeating Kourtney Howell, 6-4, 7-5, sending the Lady Crusaders to the title match.
