HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss fans have a unique way to provide input into the 2013 Golden Eagle football season by being able to help select the design which will be used on the team's gold helmets worn during the upcoming year.

Beginning on Wed., May 22, and running until Fri., May 31, fans will get a chance to vote on one of four designs on the Golden Eagles' gold helmets as part of the Rise To The Top campaign. The voting will be conducted through SouthernMiss.com.

At the conclusion of the voting, the helmet design with the most votes will be used on the gold helmets for the upcoming season. The winning gold helmet design will not replace the traditional Southern Miss black helmet design, but will be worn in addition to the traditional black helmets.
