Perry County Recovers Stolen Goods from Storage Unit

New Augusta - A suspect is now in custody charged with stealing thousands of dollars worth of goods.

According to Perry County Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith, they're holding Thomas Eric Pittman on burglary charges. Pittman was arrested previously for breaking in to a shop in Perry County where officers recovered some stolen property.

Smith claims after reports from residence it the community, police were led to a storage unit in Leeville filled with tree stands, jewelry, guns and other items, linking it to Pittman.

Pittman was previously booked in the Forrest County Jail on April 19th for possession of a controlled substance.
