JCJC hosts District 5 State Games baseball tryouts on Wednesday, June 5

ELLISVILLE – Baseball tryouts for District 5 of the State Games of Mississippi will be held on Wednesday at Community Bank Park on the campus of Jones County Junior College.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., followed by the tryouts at 10 a.m. Public school athletes must tryout in their public school district. Private school athletes must tryout in the nearest public school district.

Registration fee is $5 per player. Parents and athletes must sign the State Games waiver to tryout. The fee is $125 per player that makes the team.

There will be 18 players and two alternates chosen for the team from each district. The State Games Baseball Tournament will be played June 19-23 on the campus of Meridian Community College. Each player must bring the $125 fee on June 19 to the check in at MCC.
