6th annual Sim Cooley Memorial Golf Tournament set for June 29

LAUREL – The Sixth annual Sim Cooley Memorial Golf Tournament will be held June 29 here at Bear Creek Golf Club.

It will be a 3-person scramble with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Entry fee is $135 per team or $45 per individual. A hole sponsor signage is available for $100, while team and hole sponsorships are available for $200 (includes 3-person team and hole sponsor package).

First, second and third place teams will receive prizes. Closest to the pin, longest drive and door prizes will be awarded. Registration fee includes green fee, cart rental, food and drinks.

The tournament is in honor of the late Sim Cooley, who was Jones County Junior College's head football coach from 1962-87. Proceeds from the tournament fund scholarships for students at JCJC.
