ATLANTA (June 10, 2013) – The Under The Lights: Southern Miss Baseball program produced by FOX Sports South and SportSouth recently received an EMMY Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Southeast Chapter. The awards recognize television excellence in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Asheville, North Carolina.
The Under The Lights: Southern Miss Baseball program, encompassed a day in the life of the Golden Eagle program which occurred on April 13, 2012, in which the team defeated UCF 1-0 in 14 innings at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
The EMMY victory came in the category Television News and Program Specialty Series and recognized Kevin Allison, Terry Allen and Jeff Gammage, all of whom worked on the project from Fox Sports, as well as Southern Miss baseball coach Scott Berry.
The program tied for the EMMY with another Fox Sports Show – DRIVEN: Tougher. Faster. Stronger. The 2013 Bobcats Draft.
