11 Arrests Made In Perry Co. Drug Roundup

PERRY COUNTY, Miss. - 11 people are behind bars after a drug roundup in Perry County.

Sheriff Jimmy Smith says more warrants will be served over the remainder of the week. Members of the Perry County Sheriff's Drug Task Force, The Drug Enforcement Agency and the U.S. Marshals sent sent out the warrants.

Smith says this operation was a part of an 8-month long investigation. The suspects were arrested for the sale of a control substance or a conspiracy to sell.

The suspects initial court appearance is set for Friday morning.
