Woman Smuggles Contraband Into Jones Co. Jail

Posted: Updated:

JONES COUNTY, Miss. - Jones County Sheriff's officials say a woman smuggled contraband in to the jail and it was found after a strip search.

Authorities say Teresa Bond is charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine and one count of bringing contraband into a correctional facility.

Sherrif deputies arrested Bond initially for a felony.

Deputies say Bond was searched before she was booked, but it wasn't until she was being placed inside of her cell that another officer found the drugs during a strip search hidden in the vaginal area.

Officials say they found a small baggie filled with a crystal-like substance.

She is still in the Jones County jail. Her bond is set at $40,000.
