Ellisville Animal Holding Facility Torn Down

Posted: Updated:

ELLISVILLE, Miss. - The Ellisville Animal Holding Facility that's received statewide attention online is demolished.

It had two windows and no air.

Several animal advocates said it was unfit.

It was a temporary holding facility for animals that were abused or unwanted.

According to Ellisville Mayor Tim Waldrup there were two animals there who were returned to their owners.

Now a local resident is helping raise money to build a new facility.
