Last Suspect Caught In Fatal Hattiesburg Home Invasion

Posted: Updated:

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The last man wanted in connection to a deadly home invasion is now behind bars.

Police say 19-year-old Daylon Waldrup was arrested last night in Laurel. They also arrested 22-year-old David Fairley and 18-year-old Derrick Bolton. Bolton and Fairley turned themselves in to cops.

They have all been charged with the capital murder of Robert F. Williams.

Police say gun fire was exchanged between at least one of the victims in the house and the three suspects.

Lt. Jon Traxler of HPD says Waldrop walked away injured in the scuffle. Police believe that the residents in the house knew the suspects and that they were targeted.

Traxler says they believe this was a planned robbery that went wrong.
