Bears appear at Hendersonville High School

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -

A mother bear and a cub are in a tree at Hendersonville High school Thursday morning.

The bears were discovered around 7:30 a.m.

The Hendersonville Times-News said the bears were in a persimmon tree and students were being kept away from the front of the school building.

Principal Bobby Wilkins told the paper that staff members noticed trash cans overturned when they arrived Thursday morning around 7:45 a.m.
