Hattiesburg Man Arrested For Lamar County Burglaries

LAMAR COUNTY, Miss. - A Hattiesburg man is behind bars for a string of burglaries in Lamar County.

Sheriff Danny Rigel said 18-year-old Matthew McCcoy is charged with two counts of residential burglary.

He bond is set for $90,000.

Rigel says there were four burglaries in the Bayberry subdivision off Richburg Road. He said this one arrest will clear some of those up.

Rigel said McCoy allegedly stole jewelry, gun, and electronic devices from the homes.
