1 person in critical condition following shooting in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

One person was shot in the Montclair subdivision in Fayetteville early Friday morning.

Fayetteville police responded to a home at 715 Rock Spring Road at approximately 2 a.m. Friday in reference to a report of a shooting.

An investigation revealed that a dispute occurred between know acquaintances on the rear porch of the house and resulted in one person being shot.

Police Chief Harold Medlock said the two people had been together since 4 p.m. and that alcohol was involved.

Victim Harold Brigham, 57, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.

Police identified the suspected shooter as Frank Archulets, 66. He has been taken into custody and charges were pending Friday.
