Jackson Police confirms to News Channel 12 that State Senator John Horhn was arrested just after 11 Thursday night on Beasley Road. We're told Senator Horhn was pulled over for a traffic violation near Callaway High School. According to police, Horhn was charged with DUI, booked, and has been released.

Horhn was in the news Thursday night hosting a forum on crime in Jackson, and earlier in the week, at a news conference, he told the media the community must come together to fight crime.

He plans to propose new legislation next year aimed at crime, education and community development.
