HPD Investigate Head Start Burglary

Posted: Updated:

Police are searching for the person who robbed the P.A.C.E. Head Start behind Hawkins Elementary.

Lt. Jon Traxler said when employees entered the building Monday morning, they knew things were taken at some point during the Thanksgiving break.

The suspect gained entry through a window on the back door and stole an Acer brand laptop computer, Slate tablet and file cabinet.

HPD is still processing evidence collected at the scene and hope to have a suspect in custody soon.

"If anybody comes across a good deal on a computer or a tablet, make sure that it's not stolen," Traxler warned.
