Ellisvile Names Person of Year

Posted: Updated:

Officials and employees of the City of Ellisville ate lunch together to wrap up the year.

Mayor Tim Waldrup presented awards to Fireman of the Year Eric VanFossen, Policeman of the Year Jason Mills and Public Works Person of the Year Jason Rogers.

Then Leonard Putnam was shocked to learn he had been chosen as Citizen of the Year.

Putnam has been a resident of Ellisville about 40 years, and Waldrup said he is outstanding.

Putnam is dedicated to helping his church, Ellisville United Methodist, reach the community.  Recently he was instrumental in making the church playground open to the public.
