HPD Investigates Hattiesburg High Burglary

Posted: Updated:

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Hattiesburg Police are investigating two break-ins that happened within four days of each other at Hattiesburg High School.

They say both times, burglars got away with electronics belonging to the school.

Police say the alleged burglar from last Thursday was caught on camera.

Police say they believe the man in the video clip is allegedly responsible for stealing two apple computers.

Police say the suspect is in his late teens or early 20's.

A second break-in happened sometime between 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday.

Police have not released any surveillance footage of that incident yet.

They say more electronic devices were stolen.

This is the third break-in at Hattiesburg High School within the last two months.

Campus police said in October that 16 iPads and a MacBook Pro were stolen from a locked closet in the Library.

They are not sure if all the incidents are linked.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hattiesburg Crimestoppers Hotline.
