SCAR to Host Family Fun Day

The following is a press release from Southern Cross Animal Rescue:

 LAUREL -- Southern Cross Animal Rescue will hold a Family Fun Day at PetSense in Laurel this Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. For a small donation, children can enjoy crafts and face painting. Animals available for adoption will be present for a meet and greet with attendees. Several raffles will also take place. The event is a fundraiser to get SCAR's newly-purchased facility, located on Highway 184 East, ready to open.

SCAR is a no kill rescue in Jones County that aims to impact the severe overpopulation problem in the south by not only rescuing animals, but also helping through educating the public, community outreach, foster networks and transport programs.
