Posted: Updated:

JONES CO -- One man is behind bars and another man is wanted for drugs in Jones County.  Police responded to a disturbance call around 4 p.m. Monday at the 3000 block of Ovett-Moselle Road.  Chance Williamson of Ovett immediately fled into the woods.

While talking to other occupants, deputies noticed a strong chemical odor coming from the residence.  Narcotics officers arrived to find multiple precursors used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

They arrested Briar Freeman, 20, of Ellisville and charged him with possession of precursors.  Williamson, 29, of Ovett is still on the run and being sought by the Jones County Sheriff's Department and Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts should contact the local authorities at 601-425-3147 or MDOC at 601-649-4181.
