Petal Police Department Waits On Insurance Estimates After Fire

Posted: Updated:

PETAL, Miss. - The Petal Police Department is waiting for insurance adjusters to give them an estimate of how much it will cost to repair the building.

The police station caught on fire January 23. The flames were contained to the attic.

Police chief Leonard Fuller says a lot of the damage was caused by water.

They've had a company come in and take out one of the ceilings and installation to dry out the materials.

He says they hope to have estimates from the insurance company soon.
