MARKSVILLE, La. (AP) - The weekend brought a return of a Mardi Gras tradition in Marksville.
The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/1fwNlgt) that the Krewe of Cyllenius parade that took place Sunday was the first Mardi Gras parade in Marksville in several years.
It was a small affair: the parade included a few floats and flatbed trailers. A local casino helped out with riders tossing beads and goody bags.
But, despite the small size of the parade, cars and trucks lined the streets of town and parade-goers tail-gated with ice chests and barbecue grills.
