JONES COUNTY, Miss. - The following press release is from the Jones County Sheriff's Office:

Jones County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to a complaint March, 8, 2014 in reference to a stolen piece of farm equipment in the 4600 block of Hwy 15 North.  When deputies arrived the property owner stated he had a piece of farm equipment stolen from his property and it was valued at $3800.00.  The piece of equipment in question was a tree puller that attached to the lift of a tractor.

After checking with the local scrap yards the equipment was found and identified by the owner.  the operator of the scrap yard was able to identify the persons who brought the equipment in.  those identified are:  Brian Michael Davis and Carolyn Pearson.

Brian Michael Davis and Carolyn Pearson were both apprehended and questioned in the case.  Davis was charged with grand larceny but due to a prior charge and being out on bond for that charge, justice court judge David Lyons revoked that bond of $20,000.00.  bond for the charge of grand larceny was set at $5000.00.

Carolyn Pearson was charged with grand larceny and bond for her was set at $5000.00.
