Two suspects are wanted and two others in custody after two attempted armed robberies in Pitt County Sunday night.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says the attempted robberies happened around 10 o'clock on Billy Loop and on Dusty Lane near Belvoir.

A 36-year-old man told deputies responding to the scene that he was sitting in his car when four males approached the vehicle, opened the door, pointed a handgun at his face and demanded money.  When he turned away, he was hit in the head three times with the butt of the gun.  The suspects then fled the scene in a dark vehicle.

The victim was taken to Vidant Medical Center by Pitt County EMS.

A short time later, deputies responded to another call on Dusty Lane where the resident reported that someone knocked on her door while her family was watching television.

She told deputies that she opened the door to four males, who demanded money.  With the help of another person, she was able to shut and bolt the door. The suspects fled the scene again in a dark vehicle.

The vehicle was found on a dead end road, where deputies arrested 19-year-old Christopher Hall and 18-year-old Darius Hemphill.

Hall and Hemphill were taken to the Pitt County Detention Center and charged with three counts of Conspiracy to Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon; two counts of First Degree Burglary; and one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.  They under a $500,000 secured bond.

Deputies are still looking for two other suspects. They're identified as 18-year-old DaShaun Zirek Person, a former student at North Pitt High School, and 18-year-old Fabion Dante Jackson, a student at PCC.

If you have any information on their whereabouts, contact local law enforcement.
