DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham sheriff's deputies arrested a man Wednesday on various drug and weapon charges.

Deputies with the Sheriff's Anti-Crime and Narcotics Unit arrested Dwight Allan Judd, Jr., 24, of Durham, on charges of possession of a stolen firearm, possession drug paraphernalia, and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Judd was found to be in the possession of a stolen Ruger P95 9mm pistol, 11 grams of crack cocaine, and several oxycodone and Percocet pills.

"My deputies have seized six stolen and illegally possessed guns in the last six weeks," Durham County Sheriff Mike Andrews said. "Illegal narcotics, firearms and violence often go hand-in-hand, and I could not be prouder of the work my deputies are doing to help make our community safer."

During the arrest, deputies also seized a Remington R25 .308 rifle and $495 in cash.

Judd was released from the Durham County Jail after posting a $100,000 bond.

The Durham County Sheriff's Office said this was Judd's 15th arrest in the county since September 2006.

Last year, Judd was arrested for attempted first degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, however those charges were later dropped.
