Jasper County School Bus Involved in Friday Morning Crash

Ridgeland, SC - The Jasper County School District tells WSAV that  a district school bus was involved in a wreck Friday morning along Frontage Road outside of Ridgeland.

The district says there were a total of 10 students on the bus at the time of the accident, as well as the driver.  A total of eight students and the driver were transported to hospitals in the area with non life threatening injuries.  At least two students were transported to Beaufort Memorial and the remaining students were transported to Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville.

The bus was traveling towards Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School transporting middle school students when the accident happened.  The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
