Former PRCC President Dies at 78

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -  Pearl River Community College mourns the loss of one of its former presidents. Doctor Ted J. Alexander served as president of the junior college from 1986 to 2000.

According to PRCC, he died Wednesday in his Hattiesburg home. The caused of his death has not been released.

Some of his most important contributions to the school has been initiating a $3.6 million project to build a Nursing Building and Wellness Center on the Poplarville campus.

He was 78-years-old.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons; and two granddaughters.
