Body Of Drowning Victim Recovered From Lake Julian In Buncombe Co.

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. -

Buncombe County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a drowning that happened Thursday in Lake Julian.

Officials say they recovered the victim, James Ray Freeman, 43, of Asheville Friday afternoon.

Deputies were called to assist first responders around 3 p.m.  The search was suspended overnight and resumed Friday morning.

The investigation continues.
